Luxury Safari Photography & Film Production for Tengile MalaMala Collection
This luxury safari photography and film production project for the Tengile MalaMala Collection in South Africa spans across five properties, including Kirkman’s Kamp, Sable Camp, MalaMala Camp, Rattray’s Lodge, and Tengile River Lodge, creating a unified visual foundation for one of South Africa’s most significant luxury safari relaunches.
The project was developed in collaboration with HKLM, who led the brand identity and design direction, ensuring that every visual element aligned with a clear and cohesive brand vision. This was not a single lodge shoot, but a multi-property production designed to position an entire collection within the luxury hospitality landscape.
Shot across the Sabi Sand and MalaMala Game Reserve, the work sits at the intersection of high-end hospitality and wildlife storytelling. The environment demands a different kind of production approach, where light, wildlife, and conditions are constantly shifting, and nothing can be staged or repeated.
The focus extended beyond documenting the lodges themselves, capturing the rhythm of early morning game drives, the scale of the landscape, and the quieter moments within each space. The intention was not simply to show the properties, but to place them within a feeling that reflects the experience of being there.
All photography and videography was produced and delivered in-house by Felix Studios, ensuring consistency across every touchpoint, from the Tengile MalaMala website to booking platforms, press, and ongoing marketing. Every frame was created with performance in mind, balancing aesthetic clarity with an understanding of how luxury travellers engage with digital content.
To be entrusted with capturing all five properties reflects our continued focus on luxury hospitality photography and safari videography, and our role as a creative partner capable of delivering work at scale without compromising on detail.
